National Corvette Museum Sinkhole Filled

National Corvette Museum Sinkhole Filled

The National Corvette Museum no longer has a massive sinkhole.

Last year, a sinkhole opened up at the National Corvette Museum, swallowing numerous collectible Chevy Corvettes. According to a recent video featuring project manager Zach Massey, the sinkhole has been filled with a series of “micropiles” and beams that support the floor should another sinkhole appear.

The National Corvette Museum said the project is right on schedule and the restoration of the “Skydome” section of the museum continues with the cement slab having been poured and covered in order to finish the building so that vehicles can return to the display. The museum expects to be fully operational by July.
