2015 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Earns Five-Star NHTSA Safety Rating
The first crash test ratings are in the for the new aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given the 2015 F-150 Super Crew a five star overall crash rating, the highest a vehicle can score. In both the front and side crash tests, the truck received five stars. The rollover test produced four stars, the highest score a pickup truck can receive in that category.
For comparison, the 2015 Chevy Silverado also has a five-star overall rating with a rollover rating of four stars while the Ram 1500 has a four-star overall rating with a four-star frontal crash rating and either a four- or three-star rollover rating depending on body style.

Crash safety ratings for the other two body styles of F-150, the regular cab and supercab, haven’t been released by NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has also yet to rate the truck.
Besides scoring high on crash tests, the 2015 F-150 offers a host of active safety features, including lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and inflatable seat belts.
