2

Hyundai has revealed details on the 2016 Elantra.

The Korean automaker is adding a new Value Edition package to the car along with adding some new standard equipment to Elantra Limited and Sport. Pricing for the 2016 Elantra goes up by only a few dollars compared to 2015, carrying a starting MSRP of $18,075.

The new Value Edition costs $550 more than the lower SE trim, offering about $1,000 in savings compared to the price of the options if they were purchased separately. It comes along with 16-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, leather steering wheel, keyless entry with push-button start, heated front seats, chrome exterior accents and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel.

As for the higher-end models, the Elantra Limited now comes with a proximity key, push-button start and dual automatic clmate control as standard equipment. The Sport model removes the standard leather seats and sunroof so it can sell for less money.

An all-new Elantra model with fresh styling is expected to be revealed before the end of 2015 and it remains to be seen whether it will be a 2016 or 2017 model.
