Porsche Opens New HQ in Atlanta, Georgia

Porsche has officially opened its new U.S headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 27-acre complex also houses the Porsche Experience Center and is located at the Northeast corner of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The facility cost the German automaker $100 million and is the largest investment Porsche has made outside Germany. Inside the industry-first facility is a driver development track, classic car gallery, restoration center, driving simulator lab and a fine dining restaurant. There is also 13,000 square feet of conference and event space, with the facility being designed as a destination for the public, including automotive enthusiasts and Porsche owners.

Porsche estimates that 30,000 guests will visit the facility annually and visitors will also have the opportunity to hone their driving skills, reserve meeting space, view classic Porsche automobiles or done at Restaurant 356, named after the first Porsche model.

The 1.6-mile Driver Development Track runs through the courtyard of the facility and features six instructor-led driving modules: The Handling Circuit, Off-Road Course, Dynamics Area, Low Friction Handling Circuit, Low Friction Circle and the only Kick Plate in North America.

“Today we celebrate a significant milestone in the history of Porsche as we expand our footprint in the United States and reaffirm our commitment to the state of Georgia and the city of Atlanta,” said Matthias Mueller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche. “We are investing more than ever before, heightening visibility for the Porsche brand in the U.S. and worldwide.”
