2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Coupe, Wagon Rendered

8

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is a high-power Italian sports car destined for America, but so far, only one body style has been revealed.

These fresh new renders show what a Giulia coupe and wagon could look like, if Alfa decides to expand the lineup.

The Giulia sedan has a perfect 50/50 weight balance and packs a twin-turbocharged Ferrari V6 under the hood that sends 510 hp to the rear wheels. That gives the car a 3.9-second sprint from 0 to 62 mph, putting the Giulia at the same level of the BMW M3 and Audi RS4.

A torque vectoring system is at work on the car, helping to send just the right amount of power to the appropriate rear wheel at the right time. A low curb weight will also help the Giulia in the corners, with Alfa saying that a power-to-weight ratio of less than 6.6lb/hp is present with the new car thanks to many carbon fiber and aluminum components.

The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is expected to arrive U.S. dealerships late next year and we’ll get an up close look at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September.
