The Newest Hyundai Looks a Bit Like a BMW
The all-new Hyundai Azera has been introduced in Korea.
Sporting more mature styling to further separate it from the Hyundai Sonata, the new Azera’s front end features headlights with more rounded edges, blending into the fender similar to a BMW 5 Series. It’s an upscale design that will likely carry over to other Hyundai models in the future, as the Korean automaker promises the all-new Azera reveals “bold signature themes that will lead the new era of Hyundai Motor design.”
Known as the Hyundai Grandeur in Korea, don’t expect the Azera to be sold in North America as the automaker has axed the model in order to increase production on its crossover and SUV models.

But it does hint at what we can expect with the next-generation Sonata, including Hyundai’s grand new three-dimensional “cascading grille.” On the inside, Hyundai has given the Azera smooth and undulating panels, further enhanced with rich colors to provide an inviting feel to the cabin. The Korean automaker also said that new paint technologies and enriched materials demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship, helping deliver a more premium experience for the Azera.
