We Have More Proof the Lexus LC F is On Its Way

Lexus has finally applied to trademark the LC F nameplate in the U.S.

Earlier this month, AutoGuide.com uncovered that Lexus filed to trademark “LC F” in Europe, all but confirming that a sportier version of the flagship coupe is in the works. Now, the first filing in the U.S. for anything related to the LC F nameplate has surfaced, along with what will likely be the badge for the model. And there’s no surprises here, with the LC F logo sporting “LC” written in the same style as the current LC 500 and LC 500h, along with the “F” used on the existing GS F and RC F models.

Trademarking them both together as a single symbol is further proof the Lexus LC F is coming. There’s been plenty of rumors on the direction Lexus will go with the LC F, but expect aerodynamic improvements and carbon fiber bits to give it more aggressive styling. Rumors suggest it will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine providing around 600 horsepower.

Look for the Lexus LC F to make its debut sometime next year.
