Mercedes-AMG GT3 Race Car Teased

With the new AMG GT sports car about to hit the market Mercedes is now planning to reveal its race car iteration.

Prepped to compete in the FIA GT3 class in series throughout the world the Mercedes-AMG GT3 succeeds the GT3 spec version of the SLS which first began taking podiums in 2010.

The road going model is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine making 456 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque in the standard GT model and 503 hp and 479 lb-f tin the GT S.

Mercedes will officially debut the Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
