The Nissan name was first used in 1933, but the company’s history goes back much further. Originally known as Kwaishinsha Motorcar Works, it produced its first automobile, the DAT, in 1914. DAT later became Datsun (son of DAT) in 1931 and Datsuns went on to become the first mass-produced vehicles in Japan. Americans got their first look at the Datsun in 1958 – the 1200 Sedan. The Datsun 240Z was released as a 1970 model and it became the best selling sports car in the world, selling 500,000 units in less than 10 years. 2020 Nissan Armada Review

2020 Nissan Armada Review
I don’t know why, but I rarely think about the Nissan Armada. As big, three-row SUVs go, it seems to be lost from general consciousness versus the ubiquitous domestic offerings used so frequently for ride-sharing apps. For the right driver, however, the 2020 Nissan Armada holds a great deal of appeal. Beyond the superb utility…

2020 Nissan Altima vs 2020 Subaru Legacy Comparison

2020 Nissan Altima vs 2020 Subaru Legacy Comparison
Like the Cheshire Cat slowly vanishing from the Queen of Hearts’ croquet field, the mid-size four-door sedan is disappearing from this country’s automotive marketplace. 2020 Nissan Sentra First Drive Review
If one were to heed the bleating of certain corner offices and C-suites, it would seem that the compact car culture has been #cancelled, evaporated from the landscape like a fleeting Instagram story or ill-considered tweet. Those suits assert that SUVs and crossover (read: tall wagons) are the Way Forward.

2019 Nissan Leaf Plus vs 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric Comparison
As car companies innovate their way into the 2020s, many cubic acres of time and money are being shoveled into the furnace that is research and development for electric cars. Whether batteries will ultimately become the de facto replacement for internal combustion is up for debate and a conversation best left for another day. For…

2020 Nissan Titan Review: First Drive

2020 Nissan Titan Review: First Drive
Seems like just yesterday I was driving around in the Arizona desert behind the wheel of Nissan’s then all-new, second-generation full-size Titan pick-up as part of the truck’s media launch. But it wasn’t yesterday, of course. That first-drive event was in November 2015, and I must admit that I felt a bit of a déjà…
